    The 500 series mounts a generator at the axle hub, powered by magnets on the wheel. It is then wired to the light, which can be mounted on the handlebars (for the front version) or seat post (for the rear version). The light is high enough up to be visible, and requires no batteries or dynamo hub to run.

    The SL550 version only has a steady-burn mode and does not continue running after the bike stops moving.
